I only know how to run away

Even when I really want to stay

I can only run away

My mind is lost all day

I can’t focus, I can’t play

I just want to run away

My fight can’t last through this May

I know I’m not OK

I just want to run away

My hope is gone today

My laughter seems so far at bay

Please God take this away

I really want to run away

My life isn’t worth me to stay

Runaway, runaway, runaway.

I’m a wife. I’m a mom. I found my way to a bottle vodka, I binge drink. My husband found it almost every time. I broke his heart, and I broke my own heart, and I broke a little boys. I’m sober. I recovered to be a better person. I am finding me every single day the girl I was and the girl I want to continue to be.
